Named "Jazz Critic's Choice" by City Beat Los Angeles, reviewer Kirk Silsbee says of Libbie Jo's music, "The best wind players sing through their horns. Not only does Libbie Jo Snyder's sublime flute have a vocal quality, her singing is awfully close to her playing. The weight in her timbre, the subtle vibrato, the sure-toned held notes signify that she's at one with her instrument."
Libbie Jo is currently recording a project slated for CD and digital release in 2008 by Prufrock Music a new label dedicated to releasing the music of talented artists who've been overlooked by the mainstream industry. With distribution in the United States and Europe, Prufrock Music will be launched in April of 2008.
Libbie Jo’s debut CD "The Flute & Voice of Libbie Jo" is still available on her website, through CD Baby, and in London through Prestige/Elite Records. Derek Severs of CDBaby.com says, "Where is my tuxedo and my martini? Her CD has that live feel... Really, really nice vocals. I can tell she'd be a great catch live!" "The Flute & Voice of Libbie Jo" was also a finalist in the Euroclubdejazz International Competition sponsored by Sony.
Released in Korea (2008) on the Music Compass label, the album "Homeland" by Grammy-nominated composer/pianist Michael Hoppe features Libbie Jo as solo flutist on the song "Sigh" added as an unreleased bonus track.
